Calling or sending text messages to folks on your new iPhone to ask them to bring the stuff you forgot to pick up at the store yesterday. :-)

There are so many more things that will touch your life today as you celebrate this day of our country's Independence.

TECHNICAL WEATHER ALERT

Weather_May 2008.jpg In the aftermath of the bad weather in the Midwest and the South, including my home state of North Carolina, it was very clear that the improved weather technology and its ability to predict storms has changed the way folks are notified and how the stories are reported.

The improved technology has helped to save lives, but it has lead broadcasters to err on the side of caution. Ironically, this has many TV viewers upset at the interruptions of their favorite shows by what many see as over-the-top notification.
