Google has jumped into the business of creating web browsers.

This new browser has rolled out with great hype.

Everyone seems to have an opinion, and it will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

With Hurricane Gustav bearing down on the Gulf Coast the need to communicate could not be greater.

The major providers of cell phone service seem to have learned from Hurricane Katrina, and are prepared this time to keep the flow of information going throughout the storm.

Just keep all of the folks in the Gulf Coast region in your prayers.

Finding fake web sites loaded with spyware, viruses, and other bad stuff has become a huge problem.

Of course, there are folks out there working to fix this problem.

Nobody likes to be fooled or faked out, and no one said it better than, Alexander O'Neal!!!  :-)

You knew it had to happen.

You use your cell phone to check your email, take pictures, get voice messages, and surf the web.

Now you can use your cell phone to bank online.

Of course this is only the beginning, and you can expect the technology to continue to expand to meet the demand and needs of every consumer.

I know you enjoy your digital products (i.e. Cameras, DVRs, etc.), and all of the fun you have using them.

On the other end, how do you store and keep up with all of this information that you have created.

The problem of storing and safely maintaining your digital information is another technological issue that people are dealing with everyday.

With the amount of information we are all creating it will continue to be an issue of concern for all of us both now and in the future.

My new show deals with the issue of our dependence on Electronic Mail or as we all call it, EMAIL!

Recently, America Online (AOL) released the findings of their 4th Annual Email Addiction Survey, and some of the results about our use and need for email was very interesting.

Do you have an email addiction?

Recently, I had the opportunity to visit the America Online Corporate Offices and speak with Erin Gifford of AOL Corporate Communications to discuss the results of their Annual Survey and other tech issues.

Environment.August 2008.jpgIn these days of sky high energy prices we are all looking for ways to cut our costs and consumption.

I ran across this freeware that claims that it will reduce energy waste from hi-tech devices.

What could be better than saving the environment, energy, and money.

What could be better?  :-)

The debate over the effectiveness of laptops in school classrooms continues everyday.

In the State of Maine, the realization of such a plan is being put to the test.  Presently, the state is providing all middle school students with laptops.

The use of this technology as an educational tool will be a continuing area of interest for all of us.

One thing is for sure, how our kids and how we learn will never be the same.
