Just think about all of the modern technology that you will be using today.

Cooking and still burning up food on your new modern gas grill.  :-)

Listening to music downloaded on your iPod that you place into your iHome.  So you can listen to all of your "old school" jams!  :-)

Calling or sending text messages to folks on your new iPhone to ask them to bring the stuff you forgot to pick up at the store yesterday. :-)

There are so many more things that will touch your life today as you celebrate this day of our country's Independence.

Just remember that the most important thing you can do today is to enjoy the day with all of your family, friends, and love ones.

HAPPY 4th of JULY!!!

Security_June 2008.jpgOur nation's utility companies were left open to web attacks by hackers due to a "security hole" within their operating systems.

Many times people try to exploit these weaknesses for profit or to cause harm.  In this case, it seems that no one figured out how to exploit it and the problem was solved.

This is another reminder that even as new technology makes our lives more efficient and safer there are still vulnerabilities within these new products that we all must be aware of.

The technology of getting your money faster, easier, and more convenientlyMoney_June 2008.jpg comes with a price.  In these tight economic times every penny counts.

It hurts deep in your pocket when large cash "freezes" are places on on your bank account when purchasing gas with your ATM card.

Once again showing the importance of knowing what technology you are using and how it will affect your daily life.

PowerCord_June2008.jpgDid you know that even though you may have turned off your PC, Video Game Machine, or Plasma TV by leaving them plugged in at the source they are still helping to raise your monthly energy bill?

These products are some of the most power hunger consumer goods that we use everyday.

Because these products when turned off are only in stand-by mode there energy use meter continues to run.

Key Tip: Save by unplugging at the source.
