From time to time I will post a technical word or term that we frequently hear, but have no real idea of what it means. Oh yes, you can chuckle about it, but not everybody knows the difference between gigabytes and Web 2.0. For most folks, as long as it works when you turn on, it's all good!
The word for right now is: Wireless Fidelity or more commonly
known as WiFi. Go into any coffee house or hip trendy place and you
will see it is available.
Definition of WiFi:
It is a local area network that uses high frequency radio signals to transmit and receive data over distances of a few hundred feet.

WiFi technology facilitates connecting you with public wireless high-speed Internet access at speeds much faster than dial-up when you're in a 150-foot range of a growing number of public hot spots - in airports, restaurants, and other places offer high-speed wireless service within their establishment.

Wi-Fi Hot Spot is a business that has installed broadband Internet and equipment for the purposes of allowing public access to wireless high-speed Internet.
